This roadmap connects the city of Manaus (Amazonas) to the town of Pacaraima (Roraima), the 1.100km along the BR 174 (and at the end of the expedition, the total will stretch nearly 2,000 km rotated). BR 174 connects the southern hemisphere to the northern hemisphere, according to the Community Paraitepuy, which overlooks the mystical Mount Roraima: one of the oldest on Earth. The Magic of this Mountain provides the awakening of feelings and deep emotions. Only local presence is a glimpse, never to be forgotten. Rock formations reminiscent of the scary reptiles giant that inhabited the planet. It is the most complex, challenging and mysterious of tepuys. A place with an estimated age of more than 02 billion years with very peculiar forest.

Day 5 – Virua National Park
The Virua National Park was created with the goal of preserving natural ecosystems of great importance ecological and scenic beauty that occur south of Roraima, allowing the execution of scientific research, the development of environmental education and ecotourism. The park is located in City of Caracaraí (State of Roraima) and since 1998 protects more than 200,000 hectares of vegetation type of transition between the dense forest and savanna, known as mined in the region. The park’s name comes from the creek that comes inside. The area encompasses a wide area virtually flat, with a predominance of sandy soils and poorly drained, with lots of ponds. In northern part there is some modest hills with elevations of approximately 300 m. Along the length west, bordered by the Rio Branco, there is an occurrence of flood plains, a situation also observed in the portion south along the Anaua River. The climate is hot and humid in most of the year, but has a dry season between the months September to March. The park area is home to species typical of wetland environments, such as palm tree, acai, and jauari and others like bacaba inajá found in wetland areas. The fauna species shows migratory birdsas the Jabiru Stork (called a pass in the state of

Roraima) and the osprey, birds of wet environments as the egret and jaçanã, and endangered species like jaguars, cougars and
tapir.

Day 6 – Virua National Park – BOA VISTA
6:30 a.m. Breakfast and Out to Boa Vista, with arrival scheduled for 10:00. Check in at hotel.
12:00 p.m. Brunch in the recommended location.
2:30 p.m. Beginning the city-tour, finishing in 5:00 p.m. at Taumannan Edge, from where starts the Edgeriver-tour in Branco River in the Bicho do Rio boat.
7:00 p.m. “Happy-hour in Taumannan Edge.
9:00 p.m. “Transfer to hotel. Overnight.

Day 7 – BOA VISTA / Pedro Pinto / Mount Roraima
6:30 a.m. – Breakfast and start the journey to visit Pedra Pintada, 140km far from the capital. The marks the passage of prehistoric man in Roraima dating back four thousand years. Pedra Pintada is a Archaeological Sites of the oldest in the region, where the evidence of this most famous history. San rock paintings, pieces of pottery, hatchets, beads necklace, among other artifacts. The rock is a large granite monolith with 60 meters in diameter and about 40 meters height. On the outside are red rock paintings that are still considered an enigma
for scientists. There are also burial caves, one with 12 meters in length.

Continuing our journey, we will go to the border with Venezuela, in S. Elena Uairén, where we have lunch. We changed to 4×4 vehicles in Santa Elena de Uairén and headed to Paraitepuy community, overlooking one of the biggest spectacle of nature: Mount Roraima. At return pass by Belvedere Jurassik Park (where the opening scenes were filmed movie same name). Back, we’ll sleep in Pacaraima, with arrival scheduled for 18:00. Dinner and Overnight.
